I love sharing my skills and knowledge with others, whether to make a one off item or to start a new creative pathway.

….life is made up of a few moments all strung together like pearls, don’t let the moments in life pass you by without realising how special they are”.

Services

  • CLASSES

Classes can be on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

    JEWELLERY MAKING.
These allow the participants to select the elements and create their own pieces given individual advice and help with the skills and techniques needed. You will be shown how to use the tools to add jump rings, crimp beads and clasps. You can make earrings, bracelets or a necklace. Tools, findings and beads are all supplied.

You can also learn how to make a square weave or tubular Alexandrite bracelet. If you have gemstones or beads of your own, we can transform them into a beautiful, wearable pieces.

    BIRTHDAY PARTIES
At Court Street gallery I host jewellery parties for groups of children. They can make a necklace or a bracelet and take this away. You can also bring cake and nibbles if you wish.

    COMMISSIONS

Making the jewellery for a bride or her entourage is a wonderful experience. I have taken the brides’ vision from a vague idea into an explicit concept and have also enabled them to make their own.

I also take commissions to refurbish treasured pieces (sometimes valuable only to the owner) and transform these into wearable pieces.

  • KNITTING & CROCHET

    CROCHET

You can learn the skills and techniques needed to go from beginner to being able to crochet many different stitches. These enable you to make squares, join them together, add a border and complete granny blankets, scarves, hats or garments. You will also be able to make small figures or flowers and leaves for wreaths. You can bring your own wool and hooks or these can be supplied to start you off.

    KNITTING

Learn the basic stitches and how to combine these to make different patterns. You will be able to cast on, learn plain and purl, make a ribbed stitch, learn how to increase or decrease and cast off.

These skills will enable you to follow a pattern and make hats, scarves or other garments. You can bring your own wool and needles or these can be supplied to begin with.

    OPEN DAY SESSIONS

I collaborate with Jen Hamblin and Alex Compton at the Court Street Gallery. At an open day pre -covid we made 48 different memory wire bracelets in one session.

During open days at the gallery, I will offer drop-in sessions for children or adults. These will include memory wire bracelets and pom poms.
